There is a saying: Buy the right one, not the expensive one.
Most people think that the more expensive something is, the better it is.
Although it is undeniable that toys with a slightly higher price tend to have better quality compared to cheaper ones, it does not mean that all more expensive toys are better.
When choosing toys for children, we should select based on the child's age and personality traits.
Since I don't know how old your child is currently, I can give you some reference advice.
Several principles to follow when choosing toys:
1/ Choose toy types suitable for the child's age.
For younger children, try not to buy bead strings, paints, crayons, or any toys that may pose safety hazards. For example, children aged 8 months to 1 year are in a sensitive period for hands and mouth. If parents buy small bead toys or paints, children are likely to put them in their mouths. Small beads can be easily swallowed, and paints or crayons can be ingested or get into the eyes, which is very harmful to the child's health and safety.
2/ The material and safety of the toy must meet standards.
Many toys children play with are made of plastic, which comes in many types. It is not recommended for mothers to buy toys from street vendors, not because inexpensive toys are bad, but because many street vendor toys have no packaging, and some lack manufacturer information and production dates. Whether toys without certificates and manufacturer details are qualified and safe for children is a big concern.
Especially plastic toys without manufacturer information may be made from recycled waste plastic. Such plastics often have lead content far exceeding safety limits, which is very harmful to children's health.
I have seen many children who are hyperactive, have poor appetite, and often bite their fingers or eat strange things, largely due to excessive lead exposure. A significant reason is that children have long been in contact with toys containing excessive lead.
3/ Do not buy children toys that lack creativity and are dull.
Many children like toys that light up or can run, sing, and move when switched on.
But personally, I do not recommend parents buy such toys for their children. Toys that run, light up, and sing just by installing batteries are actually not beneficial for children's brain development and growth.
Because playing with these toys does not require any thinking, and children find it effortless. They just need to turn on the switch and watch the toy "sing," "dance," "move forward," and "move backward" without using their hands or brains. Why buy such toys? Just to give children some amusement?

Don't let vulgar toys erode childhood innocence
A few days ago, there was a news report: it was accidentally discovered that a 10-year-old child was actually smoking. While doing homework, the child had a cigarette in his mouth, the tip flickering, and smoke was being blown out. The family was very shocked and questioned how he could start smoking at such a young age. But the child looked innocent and said that it was not a cigarette, but a fruit-flavored "toy cigarette" bought at the stationery store near the school gate. Many boys at school liked to buy this kind of thing, "thinking it was very cool."

When the toy is pulled backward, the internal spring is compressed to store energy. Upon release, the spring releases energy to propel the toy forward. This mechanical structure achieves longer sliding distance through a short pull.
